1. Directions, Rules, Policies, and Procedures
Attendee shall abide by all ISHRS directions, rules, policies, and procedures for the Meeting. ISHRS reserves the right to remove Attendee from the Meeting for violations of such directions, rules, policies, or procedures.
2. Meeting Information Acknowledgement, Disclaimer, and Waiver
The information provided at the Meeting, including presentations, lectures, workshops, courses, papers, displays, handouts, roundtables, and exhibitors (collectively, “Information”), is for educational purposes only. Attendee acknowledges and agrees:
i. The Information may not reflect practices, methodologies, or approaches consistent with the standards of care, medical ethics, laws, rules, or regulations of Attendee’s jurisdiction(s);
ii. The Information is not intended to suggest the applicable standard of care, best practice, methodology, or approach for medical situations discussed;
iii. Views expressed by presenters, exhibitors, or participants are their own and do not reflect ISHRS’s views;
iv. ISHRS disclaims all warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of the Information;
v. Attendee assumes sole responsibility for assessing and using any Information received;
vi. ISHRS is not liable for Attendee’s use of Information, and Attendee waives all related claims.
3. Exhibition Acknowledgement, Disclaimer, and Waiver
With respect to the Meeting’s exhibition, Attendee acknowledges:
i. Exhibitor participation does not imply ISHRS endorsement;
ii. ISHRS has not evaluated exhibitors, their products, services, or information;
iii. Exhibitors’ goods/services may not comply with Attendee’s jurisdictional standards or laws;
iv. Attendee is solely responsible for visiting exhibits, evaluating exhibitors, and purchasing decisions;
v. Contracts with exhibitors are independent of ISHRS. ISHRS disclaims all liability for such transactions;
vi. ISHRS disclaims all warranties, including merchantability or fitness for purpose, regarding exhibitors.
4. Publicity Release
Attendee grants ISHRS an irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free license to use Attendee’s name, image, likeness, and voice from Meeting recordings/photos for any purpose. ISHRS retains exclusive ownership of such materials.
5. Meeting Material Rights
All Meeting materials (e.g., presentations, handouts) are owned by ISHRS or its licensors. Recording or reproducing Meeting content is prohibited. Violations may result in removal from the Meeting.
6. Confidential Information
Attendee agrees to keep confidential the identity and information of any volunteer patients participating in the Meeting.
7. Universal Precautions
Attendee must adhere to universal medical precautions and report any exposure to blood-borne pathogens during the Meeting.
8. Liability Release, Claims Waiver, and Covenant Not to Sue
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Attendee releases ISHRS, its affiliates, staff, presenters, and exhibitors (“Released Persons”) from all claims related to the Meeting, including attendance, use of Information, or interactions with exhibitors.
9. Defense, Indemnification, and Hold Harmless
Attendee agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Released Persons from claims arising from Attendee’s acts, participation in the Meeting, use of Information, or breach of this Agreement.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Meeting, Information, and exhibitions are provided “AS IS” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for purpose, or otherwise.
11. No Financial Compensation
Attendee acknowledges no financial compensation is provided for participation or rights granted under this Agreement.
12. Miscellaneous
Governing Law: This Agreement is governed by Illinois, USA law.
Severability: Invalid provisions shall not affect the enforceability of the remaining terms.
Waiver: ISHRS’s failure to enforce a term does not waive its right to do so later.
Binding Effect: This Agreement binds Attendee’s heirs, successors, and assigns.
